NRI Ganesha

Due to culural links of India with the rest of Aisa, the Ganesha connection is found in countries like Malaysia, thailand, nepal and even Afganistan. Not surprisingly then, in countries like Cambodia and Vietnam, Ganesha is thought to have been a remover of obstacles. A few Ganesha sculptures have been found in Afghanistan dating from the 5th to 7th centuries. In some cultures Ganesha is shown in the dancing form. In Nepal, Ganesha is known as “Heramba” and has five heads and rides a lion.
