Vidya Sinha register a complaint about her husband
Bollywood actress Vidya Sinha, known for her performance in films like ‘Rajnigandha’ and ‘Chhoti Si Baat’, recently filed a complaint against her husband alleging mental and physical torture, police said.
The actress’ husband, 70-year-old Netaji Salunkhe, was arrested on Wednesday night and later granted bail by a court after Sinha filed a complaint at the Versova police station.
“They have been married for some time now and Salunkhe keeps travelling between Australia and Mumbai,” a senior police official from Versova police station said.
The 61-year-old actress met the doctor, who is based in Australia, on the internet after the death of her husband Venkateshwaran Iyer in 1996 and after a courtship they were married, he said.
Salunkhe, who was a widower, had been living with the actress at her suburban Versova residence after their marriage but their relations soured over the last few months, the official said.
“Sinha registered a complaint on Wednesday saying that her husband was mentally and physically torturing her following which he was arrested,” he said.

as a kid i used to bunk school and watch hiindi films in the early 80s …i saw vidya sinha n late sanjeevji in pati patni n etc and also choti si baat with amol palekar n late ashoke kumar ..i think vidyaji requires more respects n she still can be a brilliant actress …..anyway, i heard she got a daughter ….n she was in Australia ….whatever and wherever best wishes
