Size doesn’t matter. This is exemplified by none other than 10-year-old child prodigy Avika Gor. The little girl has been nominated for CNN-IBN’s Indian of the year award in the entertainment category.
Astonishingly, Avika will be competing against Bollywood’s biggest names like Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, A.R.Rahman and Katrina Kaif. This list also includes Indian Premier League commissioner and Board of Control for Cricket in India vice president Lalit Modi.
The Mumbai girl had shot to fame with her character portrayal of the little bride Anandi in the Colors show Balika Vadhu. In 2008, she bagged the best child actor’s award at the 8th Indian Telly Awards. Similar prizes was conferred upon her at other award functions. Avika has also acted in films like Morning Walk, Pathshala.
